The Howard Arms
The pub is located in the centre of Brampton, a bustling market town. Carlisle is ten miles away while walking and cycling routes along Hadrian’s Wall World Heritage Site begin six miles away. (Transport available upon request). Guests are also within distance of The Lake District, with the northern edge of the national park a 40-minute drive. A short 20 minute journey will take you to the Scottish Border.
There are eight bedrooms at The Howard Arms, compromising seven super king rooms/twins and one single room. We are a family run pub that provides guests with a home-from-home feel in our individually designed rooms all with an en-suite, tea and coffee making facilities, flat screen TVs and free WiFi. There’s no need to leave your four-legged friends behind as we are dog friendly and an extra bed or cot can also be set up to cater for families. Safe storage for your bike is also available along with puncture repair kits, bike washing facilities and a bootroom.
We serve a wide array of food throughout the day, with a commitment to locally sourced ingredients freshly prepared. Whether it’s the hearty ‘Dickens Delight’ breakfast in the morning or a homemade Steak & Ale pie in the evening, the pub’s carefully selected menus are sure to have something to suit all tastes and dietary requirements.
Our well-stocked bar is home to a vast choice of gins, as well as a selection of wines and other spirits. And of course, there’s some 5* Cask Marque real ales on tap too
Cycling UK is the national cycling charity. We promote all forms of cycling, inspiring people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities to discover the joys of cycling. As well as supporting our members, we also play a prominent campaigning role, fighting to defend cyclists’ rights for safer roads, better infrastructure and legal protection.
