National Cycle Network Route 78 / The Great Glen

Route 78 of the National Cycle Network (NCN) runs from Campbeltown on the Kintyre peninsula  on the west coast of Scotland and heads north east following the Caledonian Canal up through the Great Glen via Loch Ness and finally on to Inverness.

A truly beautiful way to see Scotland at its finest, the route covers approx. 200 miles and will provide you with stunning scenery along with the chance of seeing the monster…

The route does include some climbing particularly on sections of the Great Glen, however for much of the time you’ll find yourself riding on the flat. This route’s ideally undertaken over a period of 6 / 7 days at a leisurely pace so as to ensure you have the opportunity to fully appreciate your surroundings.
